Wilden pneumatic diaphragm pump installation recommendations:
The diameter of the piping must not be smaller than the diameter of the pump inlet.
For example, when transporting high-viscosity fluids, the diameter of the piping should
be larger than the diameter of the pump inlet. The suction piping at the inlet end must be
durable and wrinkle-free to produce a high vacuum. The diameter of the outlet piping must
be at least the same as the outlet diameter, or slightly larger to reduce friction loss.
All piping and joints must be leak-tight, otherwise the self-priming capacity of the pump will
be reduced.
Most WILDEN pneumatic diaphragm pumps are reciprocating, so the pump will vibrate during
operation. Therefore, the pump with a foot base must be fixed with bolts and washers, and make
sure the ground where the pump is placed is flat.
Most WILDEN pneumatic diaphragm pumps can be used as submersible applications, as long as
the pump body material selected can resist the chemical properties of the fluid being transported.
If it is a submersible application, a hose must be installed at the air outlet end and connected to the
water surface.
Note: Pro-flo™ and Accu-Flo™ series cannot be used in water.
