Cooling, anti-freeze and treatment measures of sewage pump

Cooling, anti-freeze and treatment measures of sewage pump

1. Here is a reference basis: when the temperature of the pump conveying medium is greater than 100℃, the bearing needs to be cooled;

when the medium temperature is greater than 150℃, the sealing chamber needs to be cooled; when the temperature is greater than 200℃,

the pump support also needs to be cooled.

What specific role does cooling water play?

The specific functions of pump cooling water are as follows:

① Effectively reduce the bearing temperature;

② Take away a small amount of liquid leaking from the shaft seal and conduct friction heat;

③Cool the pump support to prevent the deviation of the concentricity between the pump and the motor due to thermal expansion;

④ Reduce the temperature of the filler box, improve the working conditions of mechanical seals, and extend its service life;

2. The temperature in the north will drop sharply in winter, and water is prone to volume expansion when it is below zero. If the water accumulated

in the sewage pump body is not completely cleaned, the volume expansion of the water at low temperature will cause the pump body to swell and

crack, resulting in unnecessary property losses.

What are the anti-freeze measures for water pumps?

The main anti-freeze measures of water pumps are as follows:

①First drain the water stored in the idle pump.

②Secondly keep the cooling water flowing finely.

③ Then keep the pump warm or heat tracing with steam and hot water.

④ The backup pump keeps the inlet and outlet circulating.

What should I do if I find that the pump is frozen?

If you find that the pump is frozen, first make it clear that it cannot be blown directly with steam, the purpose is to prevent rupture caused by uneven

thermal expansion of the pump body.

The correct measure should be to water it with cold water first, and then consider watering it with steam or hot water.
