What are the advantages of pneumatic diaphragm pumps?

AODD pumps offer numerous advantages, namely:

Compared to mechanically driven pumps, AODD pumps reduce diaphragm wear due to the pressure balance of

compressed air. This means AODD pumps can operate for longer periods without damage, resulting in a longer service life.

Their design completely isolates the fluid and sensitive component assemblies, reducing maintenance frequency.

They can handle abrasive and viscous sludge, mud, or fluids. Furthermore, the pump's smooth pumping mechanism

means they are ideal for shear-sensitive fluid applications.

Because their operating mechanism does not generate sparks, AODD pumps are suitable for hazardous areas, such

as where flammable materials are present.

Since the only fixed seal in an AODD pump is located between the wetted components and the external equipment,

leakage only occurs if one or both diaphragms fail.
