ALLWEILER twin screw pump for conveying high-viscosity media

ALLWEILER twin screw pump for conveying high-viscosity media The core structure of a twin-screw pump consists of two identical screw shafts—a drive shaft and a driven shaft—which rotate synchronously via gear transmission. A minute clearance of 0.05 to 0.15 mm is maintained between the screws and the pump body to ensure smooth operation and minimal wear.

ALLWEILER twin screw pump for conveying high-viscosity media  Product overview

ALLWEILER Twin-Screw Pump is one of the core product lines of the German ALLWEILER company. ALLWEILER, founded in 1860,

is the oldest pump manufacturer in Germany and is recognized by the industry as one of the top ten industrial pump manufacturers

 in the world-5.

ALLWEILER's twin-screw pump technology originated from the Dutch company HOUTTUIN, which was merged in 1995. Founded in

1929, HOUTTUIN is an internationally renowned professional twin-screw pump manufacturer, and its twin-screw pump technology

has a profound influence in China -5.

The core structure of the twin-screw pump is two screw shafts of the same size - a driving shaft and a driven shaft, which achieve

synchronous rotation through gear transmission. A small gap of 0.05 ~ 0.15 mm is maintained between the screw and the pump

body to ensure smooth operation and minimal wear-1. This product is widely used in the transportation of high-viscosity oils such

as lubricants, crude oil, asphalt, and fuel oil, covering industries such as food, chemicals, textiles, plastics, electronics, wood industry,

 boilers, power plants, etc.-5.

Brand positioning: ALLWEILER twin-screw pumps are famous for their low pulsation, long life, and high reliability. Its HOUTTUIN

technology occupies a leading position in the global twin-screw pump field. ALLWEILER product line covers single-screw pumps,

twin-screw pumps, three-screw pumps, hose pumps, centrifugal pumps, axial flow pumps, etc., which can meet the application

 needs of many industries-5.

Core technical features

1. Smooth and pulsation-free transportation

The twin-screw pump is designed based on the Archimedean screw principle. The two intermeshing screws and the pump body

together form a continuous sealed cavity, which smoothly pushes the medium from the suction side to the discharge side, achieving

almost pulsation-free transportation. This feature is especially important for processes that require stable flow rates.

2. Low wear and long life design

There is a small gap between the screw and the pump body, and there is no metal contact wear during operation -1. Coupled with

optimized gearbox design and superior hydraulic performance, component life is significantly extended and operating noise and

vibration are reduced -5.

3. Excellent media adaptability

Can handle high viscosity liquids (lubricating oil, fuel oil, asphalt, crude oil, etc.)-1

It has good adaptability to media containing solid particles and is less sensitive to impurities than a three-screw pump -1

Suitable for lubricating and non-lubricating media (can be selected according to material)

Wide flow range, up to 1600 m³/h-1

4. Flexible installation method

ALLWEILER twin-screw pumps provide a variety of installation methods such as horizontal, vertical, and submerged, as well as

various configurations such as horizontal installation and vertical installation, making it easy to adapt to different site conditions-8.

5. Special series available

ALLWEILER twin-screw pumps are available in special series for special applications requiring higher pressures up to 40 bar-8.

6. Magnetic drive option

Magnetic drive type is optional to achieve zero-leakage operation and is suitable for process industries and environmental

protection projects with strict sealing requirements-7.

Installation and Maintenance Guide

Installation precautions

Pipe cleaning: The inside of the pipe should be thoroughly cleaned before installation to prevent impurities from entering the

pump body.

Inlet and outlet connection: ensure reliable connection of inlet and outlet pipelines to avoid pipeline stress acting on the pump body

Pipe diameter matching: the inlet pipe should not be smaller than the pump inlet diameter to prevent cavitation

Gearbox inspection: Check whether there is sufficient lubricating oil in the gearbox before installation

Maintenance recommendations

Check seals regularly: watch for signs of leakage, magnetic drive version is maintenance-free

Gearbox maintenance: Regularly check the gearbox lubricating oil status and oil level

Gap inspection: After long-term operation, the gap between the screw and the pump body can be checked.

Spare pump management: The spare pump should be cranked regularly to prevent jamming
