KSB ETBY Series Thermal Oil Pumps
KSB ETBY Series Thermal Oil Pumps
KSB ETBY Series Thermal Oil Pumps | Etabloc SYT High Temperature Thermal Medium Circulation Pumps
The ETBY series is a direct-coupled volute pump from KSB's Etabloc SYT product line, specifically designed for heat transfer oil and hot water circulation systems. This series features horizontal/vertical installation, a back-drawn design, a single-stage single-suction structure, and performance compliant with EN 733 standards. As a new generation product in the KSB hot oil pump family, the ETBY series offers significant improvements in efficiency and reliability compared to the older SY series.
This pump features a direct-drive, bearingless design. The pump end is supported by a medium-lubricated carbon-graphite sliding bearing, while the drive end uses a grease-lubricated radial ball bearing. Combined with a mechanical seal, it achieves stable operation under high-temperature conditions. The impeller is customizable to meet different operating requirements. When used with a KSB SuPremE IE4/IE5 high-efficiency motor and a PumpDrive variable frequency drive system, significant energy savings can be achieved.

(the motor is directly connected to the pump body), while ETNY uses a coupling drive structure.
KSB ETBY Series Thermal Oil Pumps Product Features and Design Advantages
1. Direct-drive, Bearingless Design, Compact Structure
ETBY adopts a direct-drive structure, with the motor directly connected to the pump body, eliminating the need for couplings
and a common base. This results in a smaller footprint, lighter weight, and easier installation. The pump end uses a
medium-lubricated carbon graphite sliding bearing, eliminating the need for an additional oil circuit system.
2. Superior High-Temperature Resistance
Designed specifically for mineral and synthetic heat transfer oils, it can withstand media temperatures up to 350°C. An optimized
thermal barrier design effectively isolates high temperatures from the pump body to the motor, ensuring reliable motor operation
under high-temperature conditions.
3. High-Efficiency and Energy-Saving Drive System
Standard configuration includes a KSB SuPremE magnetless synchronous reluctance motor with IE4/IE5 energy efficiency rating.
Optional PumpDrive variable frequency speed control system enables precise control of flow and pressure, significantly reducing
energy consumption.
The impeller is dressable to meet various operating conditions.
4. Reliable Sealing System
Utilizes a KSB single-end mechanical seal conforming to EN 12756 standards, featuring multiple springs and a reliable venting
solution during operation.
Optional tandem double-end mechanical seal with a quench system is available for more demanding applications.
Centrifugal/annular profiles ensure reliable venting of leaks from the mechanical seal.
5. Convenient Maintenance
The back-pull design allows removal of the entire rotating component (impeller, shaft, bearings, seals) without disassembling
the pump casing. The casing can remain in the pipeline during maintenance, significantly reducing maintenance time and costs.
6. Flexible Configuration Options
Optional ATEX explosion-proof type (suitable for hazardous areas)
Optional DNV-GL classification society certification (marine engineering specifications)
