Disassembly steps of G-type single screw pump

Disassembly steps of G-type single screw pump

1. Before disassembling a single screw pump, the power end must be disconnected to prevent accidents.

2. Disassemble the pump head. Remove the pump head retaining nut and take off the pump head. If the

single screw pump only has an output flange and no pump head, the flange does not need to be removed,

making it easier to pull out the stator in the next step. Remove this flange when the stator needs to be replaced.

3. Pull out the stator.

4. Disassemble the rotor, connecting rod, short section, and sealing box. First, remove the tee. Remove the wire

retaining ring or set screw. After removing the cylindrical pin anti-fall sleeve, remove the round pin. Next, separate

the rotor, connecting rod, and short section, and then remove the sealing box. For pumps using mechanical seals,

extreme care must be taken, otherwise, the dynamic and static rings can easily break.

5. Before reassembling the pump, all preparations for replacement and maintenance should be made. Strictly check

the quality of the parts to be installed, ensure they are clean, and check for any external damage.

6. The assembly steps are exactly the reverse of the disassembly steps.

7. When assembling the packing seal, be careful not to overtighten it. After the trial run and feeding, gradually

tighten it until there is a slight leakage of the medium. If it is a mechanical seal, ensure that there are no impurities

on the moving and stationary rings and apply grease. The stationary ring must be installed smoothly into the hand seal box.

8. Check the rubber sleeve at the connecting rod joint for damage. Ensure the cavity is filled with grease.

9. When installing the stator, apply grease to the rubber surfaces (including the rotor) to facilitate installation and trial operation.

10. When installing the pump head, tighten the nut symmetrically and evenly to ensure a seal between it and the stator end face.
