Application scenarios of plastic pneumatic diaphragm pumps in the chemical industry
Application scenarios and technical advantages of the chemical industry
1. Conveyor of strongly corrosive media
Typical media:
Acids: concentrated sulfuric acid (≥80% PTFE lining required), hydrochloric acid (PP/PVDF),
nitric acid (preferably PTFE)
Alkali: Liquid alkali (PVDF resistant to 40% NaOH), ammonia water
Solvent: acetone, toluene (requires anti-static design)
Application link:
Raw material preparation: quantitative transfer of corrosive chemicals (such as electroplating
solution tank distribution)
Waste liquid treatment: recycling of waste acid containing heavy metals (such as etching waste
liquid with pH=1 conveyed by PVDF pump)
Reactor feed: Accurately add corrosive catalyst (pneumatically controlled flow rate ±5%)
2. Explosion-proof requirements for flammable and explosive environments
Scenario case:
Solvent workshop: conveying ethanol and xylene with flash point <28℃ (ATEX certified pump + grounded copper wire)
Polymerization zone: Transfer of acrylic monomer (double explosion-proof using nitrogen)
Technical Advantages:
Pneumatic drive exemption explosion-proof certification (GB 3836 / IECEx standard)
No motor avoids electric sparks
3. High viscosity/solid-containing fluid treatment
Typical Applications:
Resin production: Epoxy resin with a viscosity of 5,000cP (with large diameter ball valve to prevent blockage)
Pigment slurry: titanium dioxide suspension containing 30% solids (PVDF pump wear-resistant life >2000h)
