ALLWEILER NB Series Horizontal Volute Centrifugal Pumps | A Reliable Choice for General Fluid Transfer

Product Overview

The NB series is a classic horizontal volute centrifugal pump from the German company ALLWEILER. It features a

direct-coupled block design and meets DIN EN 733 standards. This series is renowned for its compact structure,

reliable operation, and easy maintenance, making it an economical solution for fluid transfer in industrial and civil applications.

ALLWEILER, a German pump brand with over 150 years of history (now part of the CIRCOR Group), offers a wide range

of centrifugal pumps. The NB series is specifically designed for clean or lightly contaminated non-corrosive liquids and

is suitable for various applications including cooling and heating circulation systems, water supply and treatment, air

conditioning and refrigeration, and industrial processes.

Differences from the NTT series: The NB series is a general-purpose clean water centrifugal pump with a maximum

temperature resistance of 140°C and a pressure rating of PN10/16; while the NTT series is a dedicated heat transfer

oil pump with a maximum temperature resistance of 350°C, suitable for high-temperature heat transfer media circulation.

Note: The NB series features a direct-drive block design. The motor is directly mounted on the pump body via

a flange or lantern bracket, eliminating the need for couplings and a common base, resulting in a compact structure.

ALLWEILER NB Series Horizontal Volute Centrifugal Pump Product Features and Design Advantages

1. Direct-drive Block Design, Compact Structure

The NB series adopts a direct-drive block design, where the motor connects directly to the pump body, eliminating the

need for couplings and a common base. This results in a smaller footprint, lighter weight, and easier installation.

2. Compliant with DIN EN 733 Standard

Performance parameters and structural dimensions comply with DIN EN 733 standard (formerly DIN 24255), offering

excellent interchangeability with mainstream pump models on the market.

3. Flexible Installation Options

Supports both horizontal and vertical installation, allowing for flexible selection based on site space.

4. Wide Range of Applicable Media

Can transport a variety of media, including pure water, industrial water, seawater, condensate, oils, brine, alkali solutions,

 and hot water.

5. Easy Maintenance

The back-pull design allows for removal of rotating parts without disassembling the pump casing.

Standardized support feet facilitate installation and adjustment.

Some models are available in a two-stage pump configuration to meet higher head requirements.

6. Flexible Configuration

Optional ATEX explosion-proof type (suitable for hazardous areas).

IEC standard motors can be used, facilitating spare parts procurement.

A variety of material combinations are available to adapt to different media.

ALLWEILER NB Series Horizontal Volute Centrifugal Pump Core Application Areas

ALLWEILER NB Series Horizontal Volute Centrifugal Pump  Applicable Media:

Pure water, industrial water, seawater, condensate, oil, brine, alkali, hot water (maximum 140°C)

Installation and Maintenance Guide:

Installation Precautions:

Foundation Preparation: The pump set should be installed on a level, clean foundation. B25 strength grade concrete

foundation is recommended.

Leveling: After installation, check the pump set's levelness. The allowable tilt is ≤1 mm/m.

Pipeline Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the inside of the pipeline before installation to prevent impurities from entering the pump body.

Pipeline Support: Independent supports should be installed for the inlet and outlet pipelines to prevent the weight of

the pipeline from acting on the pump body flange.

Insulation Considerations: If pump insulation is required, only the volute casing should be insulated to prevent motor overheating.

Maintenance Recommendations:

Regular Inspection: Check for leaks in the mechanical seal and abnormal noise from the bearings.

Freeze Protection: When the pump is not in use during winter, drain the medium from the pump to prevent freezing and cracking.

Corrosion Inspection: Regularly check the condition of the anti-corrosion coating and treat rust promptly.

Standby Pump Maintenance: The standby pump should be rotated periodically to prevent jamming.
