How to use and maintain Wilden pneumatic diaphragm pump


Wilden pneumatic pump uses the effect of air pressure difference to make the piston move up and down, driving the material guide 

piston to open and close, and plays the role of lifting materials. Adjust the flow rate and air pressure of the working gas to the 

pneumatic slurry pump to control and adjust the feed flow rate of the Wilden pneumatic diaphragm pump. Combined with sensor 

switches, it can be automated.

Wilden pneumatic diaphragm pumps can provide pulse-free, stable liquid flow and are suitable for chromatographic analysis systems. 

The pneumatic amplification pump using the principle of pneumatic amplification can quickly obtain the required high outlet pressure 

and provide large output flow, which is especially suitable for filling chromatographic columns by homogenization method.


The disadvantage of the Wilden pneumatic pump is that the liquid cylinder is large and it is inconvenient to replace the mobile phase. 

Gradient elution cannot be achieved without using two such pumps.


Wilden pneumatic pump maintenance


1. During use of the Wilden pneumatic pump, prevent it from hitting the cylinder body to avoid deformation, which may cause the piston 

to get stuck, resulting in scrapping.


2. During work, if the cylinder body becomes hot (subject to feeling hot), add 30# lubricating oil immediately.


3. If the adjusting nut becomes loose during use and material leakage occurs, the nut should be adjusted in time.


4. After the piston has been operated for more than 100 times, the cylinder should be cleaned and 30# lubricating oil should be applied 

according to the water accumulation during the air supply process of the air compressor.


5. If it is not used for a long time, it should be cleaned in a solvent to prevent the slurry from freezing and blocking the feed pipe.


How to use Wilden pneumatic pump


1. First put the material guide tube correctly into the material barrel to be transported.


2. Connect the corrosion-resistant hose to the discharge port to the feeding location.


3. The air inlet valve is closed, then connect the air source pipe to the air inlet valve joint, open the air inlet valve and adjust the operating 

frequency of the pneumatic slurry pump according to the required slurry flow rate, and then it can work.
