Sewage pump maintenance tips

Sewage pump maintenance tips

1. If the submersible sewage pump is not used for a long time, the electric pump should be taken out of the water. Do not soak it in the water for a long time to reduce the chance of the motor stator winding getting damp and increase the service life of the electric pump. You can spray paint on the areas where the paint has fallen off to avoid rust. .

2. The sewage pump should be managed and used by dedicated personnel, and the insulation resistance between the pump winding and the casing should be checked regularly to see if it is normal.

3. After each use, especially for thicker and more viscous media, the submersible electric pump should be put into clean water and run for a few minutes to prevent sediments from remaining in the pump and ensure the cleanliness of the submersible sewage pump.

4. Under normal conditions, the oil in the oil chamber (No. 10-30 engine oil) should be added or replaced after every 300-500 hours of use of the sewage pump to keep the mechanical seal in a good lubrication state and extend the service life of the mechanical seal.

5. After the submersible non-clogging sewage pump is disassembled and repaired, the casing components must be inspected by a 0.2MPa air tightness test to ensure that the motor seal is reliable. The pump should be tested by clicking to ensure that the product is normal before starting the motor.

6. Small submersible sewage pumps can be installed in a mobile manner. Submersible sewage pumps with a diameter exceeding 100mm are recommended to be installed in a coupled manner to facilitate future maintenance and testing.

7. Replace the sealing ring: After long-term use in sewage media, the gap between the impeller and the sealing ring may increase, causing the flow and efficiency of the water pump to decrease. The power gate should be turned off, the water pump should be lifted, and the bottom cover should be removed. The sealing ring is equipped according to the actual size of the impeller mouth ring. The gap is generally about 0.5mm.
